West Bund Art & Design is the first large-scale international fair in China to break the boundary between art and design. Introducing new participants, we set our mission to surpass last year’s achievements, and propel contemporary visual art in China even further. Rushing Across the Field As a Dotted Line

This installation work comes from a homonymous behavior work which executed on September 7, 2014 under the full moon in the Catskill Mountains, USA. This was an act of artist who rushing across an open field at night with a flashlight turning on and off intermittently toward the camera that was documenting the action. When contourexceeded detail and tactility exceeded vision, what accompanied the act was anintense and intimate experience for a human being engulfed by the natural environment at night. This installation work is the reverse implement of the behavior work: the light as a dotted line has been located on the wall of passageway. People who walk back and forth would felt the relative motion of this dotted line which were made from the light when they walking through.
