Contemporary Art & Design Exhibition
Co-organized by Vanguard Gallery and Creative Shanghai, the contemporary art and design exhibition SATELLITE 2006 opens on 3 September 2006 in Shanghai. Located at unique architectural spaces in the city and divided into the Art Pavilion and Design Pavilion, this project brings together an international team of around 100 curators and artists from China, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South-East Asia, Japan and Korea.
Resonating the themes of urbanization, the participating artworks address and explore individual experiences of the city, cultural identities and urban transformations – artists and designers, coming from different countries and regions, express what is unique to their individual places of origin, in an exhibition that is both a significant art event and an exceptional occasion for cultural exchange.
This exhibition will last for 2 weeks until 23 September.
